url rewrite of wrodpress-1

Today,I want to discuss with the visitors about the url rewrite of wrodpress on windows hosting.Yes,many ones know it is diffcult to make the url rewrite on windows hosting,becaust we can not config the iis directly.

Now,the solutions I am using is as follows:

1.upload one asp file,if your hosting can support .asp,the file named errorpage.asp,you can place it in the root directory of your site.

2.and then you can custom your 404 erro page by your hosting control pannel,and make the 404 page to be errorpage.asp.

3.custom your permal link in wordpress by your opinion.maybe like this:/archives/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

and the category base linke this:archives/category
